Katie Jo Icenhower
A Greensboro, NC native, Katie Jo Icenhower had the real estate bug gnawing at her (even as she pursued other career interests) because of her mother’s steadfast dedication to the field. Katie Jo wasn’t swayed to make a change, however, until she experienced corporate downsizing. Even then she was determined to find just the right niche. Just a few months after earning her real estate license, Katie Jo read an article about environmental REALTORS, and knew she had found what she had been looking for. Katie Jo was North Carolina’s first EcoBroker in 2005. Being an EcoBroker means successfully completing a unique and informative curriculum of energy and environmental programs dealing with issues that affect real estate transactions. Katie Jo demonstrated her dedication to the green movement by helping establish the Triad’s USGBC Chapter. Katie Jo also became an active member of the NAHB’s Green Building Council. As soon as the National Association of REALTORS established a GREEN designation, she earned that as well. Katie Jo continues her personal green movement with her participation with local environmental groups such as The Sierra Club, The Audubon Society and the NC Native Plants Group. Most importantly, she makes sure to live her environmental stewardship by giving a portion of every commission to the Piedmont Land Conservancy, which is dedicated to protecting natural places for future generations. So when you see Katie Jo pull up in her hybrid, know that this isn’t just hype, this is the greenest real estate agent in Greensboro.
I’m active in the National Association of Realtors, North Carolina Association of Realtors, Greensboro Regional Realtors Association (GRRA), Triad Multiple Listing Service, GRRA RCSC (Realtor’s Community Service Committee) with prior appraiser affiliation.
I’m from West Virginia but have been in NC for 27 years so this is now my home. I love all this area has to offer. I’ve raised 3 children here and know how important it is to have a place to call home for our families. Since I have experienced the emotional side of having a home it makes me want to help others do the same. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Power Team Realty with their experience and same desire to help others find a place to call home!
I’m a highly motivated, very organized person with a great compassion for people of all walks of life and would love the opportunity to work with you! Please call or email me and let’s get started finding your home!
